At this time the farm has an agriculture and livestock focus. Our future plan is to grow and extend new farming opportunities in innovative systems and processes.
There are currently 1000 chickens being raised and processed to help with the feeding the Bajao children. Additionally SERV Ministries has been able to sell some of the chickens into the local markets to help oset the various expenses the farm incurs.
The farm raises and houses approximately 40 goats. Its original idea was to produce goat milk, which is considered a luxury product in the Philippines. The milk is also provided to the Bajao children to improve their health.
The Philippine Government is coming along side SERV Ministries and using this farm to bring young and new farmers to train best farming techniques to help with these new farmer’s futures
Every morning of each work day, the Executive Director/Pastor holds a devotional and prayer time with all farm workers to start the new work day. Through these devotionals and prayer times, several workers have been brought to the Lord.
Future Plans for the Farm for training new Philippine farmers
Aquaponics – with fish hatcheries and mature fish to sell.
Hydroponics – growing organic vegetables
Every early summer, SERV Ministries uses the farm to host a Bajao Youth Camp.
This YOUTH Camp has served over 200 Bajao youth per season.
It takes only $35 per youth to host these kids ages 13 through 17.
These youths learn so much in the few days they spend on the farm that influences them for the rest of their lives. Most are brought to the Lord through attending the camp and become new attending members in the local churches in their community.
Many are baptised during the Youth Camp session.
Join our email list and stay informed about our progress of transforming the lives of the Bajao village children.
